When working digitally, I have the opportunity to view my images immediately after exposure. In the case of still lifes and landscapes, this gives me the opportunity to make changes to my images. While creating a still life of objects on the kitchen counter one night, I realized that as I made small changes to the setup, I was not only refining the final image, but also generating a series of images that pictorially shows how I arrived at the final image. This series deconstructs the final image to reveal my thought process in reverse. |
